New and second-hand books, including rare and collectable books: Pictures, particularly watercolours of the 19th Century. Our special interest is the work of the Surrey artist, born near Newcastle, Birket Foster (1825-1899). Picture framing, done on the premises. We also offer picture cleaning and restoration. Old and rare maps. We keep a large range of fascinaing old maps of the counties and abroad. Please see Maps page or telephone us with any requests. 01962 732998. Fused glass panels and bowls, as seen on Grand Designs and in our new gallery. The deeply coloured designs can be easily hung anywhere in the house, but are particularly effective in the kitchen, bathroom and above swimming pools. Each is made by an artist, fused at 860 degrees c and signed; no two panels are identical, and the uneven front surface makes them interesting to touch.
